For trips to Switzerland, British Citizens normally do not need a visa for short stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, provided they hold a valid passport that meets Schengen entry requirements. As a general guide, passports should have been issued within the last 10 years and remain valid for at least 3 months after the date you plan to leave the Schengen.
EU and EFTA nationals may typically enter Switzerland without a visa if they hold a valid recognised identity document.
Other nationalities may have different requirements, and all customers are responsible for checking the passport, visa and entry rules that apply to their own nationality and travel itinerary before booking and again before departure.
Entry rules can change at short notice, and customers must verify current requirements with the relevant embassy, consulate or official government source. We are not responsible for any refusal of entry, delay, or loss arising from a failure to obtain the correct documents.
Travel insurance
All customers are required to hold suitable travel insurance for their trip, including cover appropriate to the activities booked. For ski and mountain travel this should include, where applicable, winter sports, off-piste or freeride skiing, emergency medical expenses, repatriation, cancellation and curtailment, and mountain rescue.
Insurance providers that typically offer cover for adventure and/or snow sports include: World Nomads, Yellow Jersey, Dogtag, Snowcard, and the Ski Club of Great Britain.
